Cyprus

Why Visit Cyprus ?

Surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, Cyprus is a country with stunning beaches, pretty seaside villages, and an interesting, if sometimes turbulent, history. Cyprus is a divided country, half Greek and half Turkish. As such, it has two currencies, two official languages and the world’s last divided capital city, Nicosia. At the same time, Cyprus is a republic, with one president responsible for the whole island, and is a member of the EU.

The legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, Cyprus is also known for its exceptional natural beauty. As well as numerous bays, coves and beaches, the interior has rugged mountains dotted with tiny villages. Cypriot food is heavily influenced by Arab, Greek and Turkish cuisines and trying the local dishes is a highlight of any trip.

Cyprus is a delightful little island in the Mediterranean Sea and an absolutely wonderful travel destination. It’s actually the third largest island in the Mediterranean and it has a great mixture of beautiful beaches, history, and nature.

Cyprus is a popular tourist spot across Europe, but strangely, a lot of people don’t even know half of what the island can offer! A lot of the world hasn’t discovered Cyprus yet!  There are so many places to visit in Cyprus than just beaches and nightclubs.
